Agreement
By accessing or using The Time We Enter, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or newsletter. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement where you live.
Editorial information, not professional advice
The Time We Enter publishes educational and editorial material about traditions, history, calendars, symbolic systems, identity, and time. The material reflects the sources and editorial judgment described in each piece. It is not medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who understands your circumstances.
Traditions and interpretive systems can contain differing schools, practices, and claims. We work to describe them carefully, but publication does not mean that every claim discussed is independently verifiable or endorsed by us. You are responsible for how you use the information and for decisions you make based on it.
Ownership and permitted use
The site and newsletter—including their articles, original illustrations, diagrams, design, branding, and arrangement—are owned by The Time We Enter or used with permission and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may access the publication for personal, noncommercial use and may share links or brief excerpts with clear attribution. You may not republish an article or newsletter in full, remove credits or rights notices, sell or license our material, create a competing archive or dataset from it, or use it to train a machine-learning model without our prior written permission. Uses allowed by law, including fair use, are not restricted by these terms.
Acceptable use
You may not use the site to:
- break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
- interfere with the site’s operation, security, or availability;
- introduce malicious code or attempt to access systems or data without authorization;
- use automated means that place an unreasonable load on the site or evade access controls; or
- misrepresent your affiliation with the publication.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the publication, its readers, service providers, or others.
Messages and submissions
You retain ownership of material you send us. By submitting a correction, source, comment, or other material, you give us permission to review, copy, and use it to respond to you and operate our editorial process. We will ask before publishing a private message with your name or identifying details. Do not send confidential information or material you do not have the right to share.
Newsletter and third-party services
Newsletter delivery and some site functions depend on third-party providers. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue. The site also links to outside sources and services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily mean that we endorse the linked service or every statement it contains.
Disclaimers
We provide the site, newsletter, and material on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not promise that every piece of information will always be complete, current, or free from error, although our editorial standards explain how we source and correct our work.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Time We Enter and the people who operate it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of—or inability to use—the publication or any linked service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims related to the publication or these terms will not exceed the greater of 100 US dollars or the amount you paid us, if any, to use the publication during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
Changes and contact
We may change or discontinue any part of the publication and may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted here unless a later date is stated. Your continued use after the effective date means that you accept the updated terms.
If one provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
